Step One

Complete your associate transfer degree at a community college or have at least 75 transferable college credits. Each institution has a separate admission. Community colleges have an open enrollment policy. Admissions and registration involve several steps and decisions.

To earn an associate transfer degree you must complete a minimum of 90 community college quarter credits, of which 25 quarter credits must be earned at one of the community colleges. You will choose one of the community colleges as the institution from which you receive your degree, but you can take courses that transfer at either college.

While completing your associate transfer degree at either Bellevue Community College or Edmonds Community College you can take coursework which fulfills pre-requisites for your University of Washington admission and major requirements. To ensure your success in completing your requirements for an associate transfer or bachelor degree you should meet with an adviser at each institution. Contact an adviser at Bellevue Community College or Edmonds Community College to consult about your associate transfer degree and University of Washington to consult about your bachelor degree:

Step Two

Once you have completed your associate transfer degree you can apply to the University of Washington Evening Degree Program identifying your choice for one of the five majors listed below.

The tuition as of Autumn 2003 is $164 per credit plus additional fees for registration, Student and Activities fee, and a technology fee depending on how many credits are taken. (Additional fees may apply.)
